R&R FLOORING GIVES COLBY CHRYSLER A MAKEOVER

Marshfield (OnFocus)- Colby Chrysler is flaunting a new floor in their showroom done by R&R Flooring in Spencer.

The new floor is a 15-year commercial LVT luxury vinyl tile flooring.

“That specific type of flooring is a no-wax flooring,” said R&R Flooring owner Perry Hinrichsen. “So you can mop it and it’s easy to maintain.”

“Our floor was in here for about 30 years and it was time for an upgrade and we want to spend our money locally,” Colby Chrysler owner Shannon Grewe said.

It was a very unique project with borders throughout the surface dividing the space and creating depth of field.

“I like to keep things local and Shannon does a nice job up here. He’s got a great sales staff and service is great,” Hinrichsen said.

Colby Chrysler provides Jeep, Dodge and Chrysler vehicles in Colby, Wisconsin.

The previous flooring was gray and white tile in a checkerboard pattern.

“They did a great job,” Grewe said. “They came in a did it after hours for us so we didn’t have to disturb our business or our customers.”

Grewe was very happy with the final result.

“The work turned out fantastic, on time and in budget,” Grewe said.

SPENCER BUSINESSES TEAM UP TO ENCOURAGE PUBLIC TO SHOP LOCAL

SMALL BUSINESSES FEEL IMPACT OF COVID-19

As small businesses begin to feel the economic impact of COVID-19 (coronavirus), two Spencer businesses, R&R Flooring and Furniture and Nutz Deep II, have teamed up to encourage people to support local.

“It’s important to help small businesses through these rough times,” said Perry Hinrichsen, owner at R&R Flooring. “In the smaller communities, we are there for everyone.”

R&R Flooring and Furniture is offering $100 off any in-stock recliners, sofas, love seats, and queen mattresses during this time with any $200 purchase, including a free $25 gift card to Nutz Deep II for curbside pickup.

ChairThe locations are also hosting a giveaway valued at $699 from R&R Flooring & Furniture.

“We will be giving away two rocking chairs, one for each location,” said Ann Dieringer, Nutz Deep II manager. “For every carry out or delivery purchase, the customer’s name will be entered to win it!

Both R&R and Nutz Deep II are proud supporters of many areas causes and nonprofits.

“Nutz Deep has always been there for everyone and anyone, so I thought I would give a $25 gift card for every $200 purchase from my store just to help out,” said Hinrichsen.

Hinrichsen encourages everyone to buy local, especially now.

“The reason to shop local is because you never know what you’re going to get online, and we service everything we sell,” he said. “For example, if you buy a memory foam mattress online, it might only last a year before the foam gives away because it is not made to be compressed for that long. At R&R, we offer 15-year warranties on our mattresses.”

R&R Flooring Awarded Small Business of the Year

Business Makes a Difference in Community

The Spencer Chamber of Commerce has awarded R&R Flooring 2018 Small Business of the Year. A member of the Chamber since its opening in 2009, the business is honored to be a recipient.

“This award is a great accomplishment,” said Perry Hinrichsen, owner. “I have a great team around me and that is hard to find.”

R&R Flooring opened its doors in March 2009 and purchased the rest of the building space in 2010. Some of the challenges the business faced early on was staying open during the recession and, when Highway 13 closed for construction in 2011, having no drive-by traffic to bring in business.

Those struggles weren’t forever, and in 2015, R&R Flooring added a new warehouse to make more room for inventory. They operate a showroom with a wide variety of flooring, furniture and mattresses and service the state of Wisconsin, focusing on a one-hour radius around Spencer.

When selecting the recipient, the Chamber looks at businesses who make a difference in their communities.

“They use local suppliers as much as they can. Another factor is they’re a big part of our community as far as getting involved, if it’s with donations or helping anybody out that needs help in our community,” said Harley Meyer, Commerce President.

“R&R is all about local – we support youth programs, churches, kids group, girl scouts,” said Hinrichsen. A Spencer graduate, he decided to open up business there to contribute to community growth. “Small communities are very nice to be a part of because of the support you get from them.”

“Perry Hinrichsen is such a giving soul and definitely understands the concept of giving back to his local community,” said Kevin Krizan, owner of Farmers Insurance. “He is one of the most kind-hearted and giving people that I know and has been an asset to the Village of Spencer & Central Wisconsin as well as anyone that has the fortune of crossing paths with him. If you are looking for any furniture or flooring needs, you must make R&R Flooring a destination. Speak to Perry or any of his awesome team!”
